Queensday

Tomorrow it will be the 30th of April, queensday or "koninginnedag" in dutch. This is the birthday of the queen-mom, Juliana, who past away last year at the age of 94. On this day people are free from work. There's allways a lot to do everywhere in the cities. Free-markets where anybody is free to sell there stuff on the street. Known and unknown bands and musicians perform on the streets and podiums in parks. Everywhere you look there's orange, the colour of the royal family.
This year it's the silver jubilee of Queen Beatrix, as it's here 25th year as queen.

DJ Armin van Buuren, along with some other DJ's has organised the Queensday Party Leiden 2005. This is as you might know is my birth- and hometown and I will most definately check this party out with some friends! If I take the camera with me I'll post some picture tomorrow or sunday.

Firefox doubles market share

Firefox went from 4.23% to 10.28% market share this month. While IE dropped 1.15% to 84.7%.
I use Opera 8, which I like more then FireFox. It's more responsive (faster) and has a lot more standard options on board. But I must say that with the right extensions FireFox is a really good browser and the more choose to the consumer the better.

XBOX 360

For those who haven't seen the new XBOX 360, this is what it will look like. There will be 2 versions, one with a harddisk (40GB), and one without. The one with HD will be backwards compatible in some form or another.
As the console will be HDTV capable I hope we can see some homebrew software like XBMC for the XBOX 360, but I think this won't happen that quickly as with the XBOX because of the PowerPC architecture.
Just imagin a 50" HDTV plasma screen or a HDTV projector hooked up to the XBOX 360 and playing games and watching movies in HighDev.

Greatest band in the world (besides U2)

Maybe you've heard of them, Jack Black & Kyle Glass who form the band Tenacious D.
They proclaim to be the greatest band in the world. As a comedy rock band this certainly is true.

JB & KG

JB is not only a brilliant musician, but also an actor, you've probably seen him in School of Rock or Shallow Hal.

I've just received there The Complete Master Works dvd and it totally rocks and I'm looking forward to Tenacious D in: The Pick of Destiny movie that's hopefully coming out at the end of the year.
